After a delightful stay at Koromiko homestay, I took the ferry from Wellington to Picton Wednesday morning, but missed my train connection. I got to stay the evening in Picton at the Gables (where Ian and Paula gave me a muffin for "elevenses"), and took the train the following day to Christchurch. The train passes through sheep pastures ("paddocks"), many new vineyards, and a sea salt processing area.
