Periodically, a physical world-system and the lower heavens associated with it co me to an end. At this time, the beings from these lower levels are generally reb orn as "Radiant" (Abhassara) gods, in a second jhana heaven. After a long period , the three lowest pure form heavens appear, and a Radiant god dies and is reborn here as a Great Brahma. After some time, he becomes lonely and longs for the pr esence of others. Soon his wish is fulfilled, simply because other Radiant gods die and happen to be reborn, due to their karma, as his ministers and retinue.
