We must purge our definition of matter from its dualistic
overtones. If we want to escape from the dualism-monism quandry,
we must enlarge our concept of matter to include the human mind
with its full potential . . . instead of trying to shrink our view
of the mind so as to make it fit inside our preconceived,
"materialistic" definitions of matter. We must view the mind as a
special manifestation of matter. If this means invoking a property not yet included in the description of physicists, this would not be the first time. |
