In the West, as part of the hardcore cognitive view, we really have downplayed emotional, motivational and spiritual matters. However, I think that cognitivists are getting bolder, more audacious, less intimidated. They are already beginning to look at some of the things that we might in an earlier time have called hopelessly Eastern, or, perhaps, hopelessly 'West Coast.'
